Evidence boundary · status date 2026-08-10

Verification is evidence. It is not permission.

Signet7 is designed to automate routine evidence checking and interrupt people only when protected evidence fails or cannot be completed. The result remains bounded.

DRAFT — NON-OPERATIVE. This disclaimer creates no offer, warranty, service level, legal conclusion, or customer agreement and requires approval with the final contracting entity and Terms before production activation.

Read this before relying on a result

Signet7 evaluates defined cryptographic, sender/key, lifecycle, timing, replay, coverage, and protected-message-component evidence. It reports what supported checks establish and where they remain incomplete.

Signet7 does not guarantee that a message, sender, invoice, attachment, link, bank account, payment instruction, contract, request, or transaction is legitimate, accurate, authorized, lawful, malware-free, confidential, or free from fraud.

“Protected content matched” means only that covered components matched the supported signed representation and that separately reported evidence checks produced the stated result. It does not mean “safe to act.”

Unknown, unsealed, unsupported, expired, revoked, incomplete, temporarily unavailable, or unable to verify does not by itself mean fraudulent or malicious.

Automated operation

After authorized installation, Signet7 is designed to perform routine checking, retry temporary failures, record content-minimized evidence, update provider labels or categories, and send material notices without requiring a user to approve every normal result or an administrator to watch the dashboard continuously.

Automation depends on valid provider authorization, supported content, correct configuration, active subscriptions or watches, network and provider availability, and Customer policy. Notifications can be delayed, duplicated, reordered, omitted, or temporarily unavailable. No automated system eliminates false positives, false negatives, unsupported content, configuration errors, or user error.

Quiet operation is not a claim that Signet7 inspected or approved every message. No Signet7 evidence present normally means no Signet7 conclusion.

Consequential actions remain outside Signet7

Customers and recipients remain responsible for callback procedures, dual control, payment-change verification, account security, business approvals, and decisions made in banking, accounting, ERP, payment, email, document, and other external systems.

A dashboard selection such as hold, report, confirm through a known channel, view evidence, or acknowledge and dismiss records a user declaration. Signet7 does not claim that action occurred outside the Service unless the responsible external system supplies a trustworthy receipt bound to the event.

Signet7 does not authorize, initiate, settle, reverse, insure, or guarantee a payment, transfer, refund, purchase, filing, signature, delivery, or other real-world action unless a separately identified integration performs that function and returns verifiable execution evidence.

Evidence and legal effect

Hashes, signatures, timestamps, lifecycle records, receipts, and signed or hash-chained ledgers can support integrity, authentication, chronology, and custody analysis. They do not automatically establish identity, authority, intent, attribution, truth, admissibility, legal validity, regulatory compliance, or the weight a court, regulator, auditor, insurer, bank, or counterparty gives the evidence.

Customer determines record categories, lawful basis, retention, deletion, legal holds, access, export, disclosure, and custody requirements. Signet7 evidence is not a substitute for the readable original message or a complete-content archive.

Data boundary

The default background design stores content-minimized evidence rather than complete readable email. Provider message identifiers, mailbox references, and other identifiers may be protected or pseudonymized, but transformed identifiers may remain linkable.

Readable bodies and attachments are intended to remain in Customer-controlled mailboxes unless Customer separately authorizes an encrypted, access-controlled, retention-governed complete-content vault. No such vault is included by default.

Provider credentials, OAuth tokens, refresh tokens, client secrets, private keys, and passwords must not be placed in evidence records or ordinary logs.

Provider and availability boundary

Google Workspace, Gmail, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Graph, banks, accounting platforms, ERPs, payment providers, and other third-party services are independent systems with their own terms and availability. Their authorization, transformations, outages, webhook behavior, policy changes, suspensions, and execution records are outside Signet7’s control.

Unless an operative order form states otherwise, Signet7 does not guarantee continuous availability, message delivery, warning delivery, provider compatibility, retention, recovery, response time, or error-free operation.

Security and compliance boundary

Signet7 supplements; it does not replace SPF, DKIM, DMARC, S/MIME, mailbox security, malware scanning, endpoint protection, multifactor authentication, identity proofing, callback controls, segregation of duties, payment authorization, backups, incident response, or human judgment.

Source code, tests, authored controls, cloud eligibility, or local demonstrations do not establish production deployment, certification, legal compliance, provider endorsement, marketplace approval, insurance, or a service level.

No general privacy, healthcare, financial, securities, public-sector, records, artificial-intelligence, evidentiary, or industry-specific compliance representation is made unless an executed agreement identifies the exact role, scope, control, and evidence.

When Signet7 warns

  1. Pause the consequential action when practical.
  2. Contact the sender through an independently known channel.
  3. Inspect which component, signature, sender/key relationship, lifecycle state, or coverage limit triggered the notice.
  4. Preserve the original message in the Customer-controlled mailbox.
  5. Save the available evidence receipt or report.
  6. Follow Customer’s incident, fraud, payment, and escalation procedures.
  7. Record an acknowledgement only when it accurately reflects the user’s decision.

Do not treat a warning as proof of fraud. Do not treat a quiet or verified result as permission to skip ordinary controls.
