Government and public agencies

Public money moves by email. Check the email first.

A vendor writes in to say their bank details have changed. An employee asks to redirect a direct deposit. A contractor sends revised payment instructions. Signet7 lets the person approving that request confirm, before releasing funds, that the wording has not been altered and that the sender's address is on record.

Who uses it inside an agency

The desks that release money or change a record

You do not deploy Signet7 to every employee. You name the handful of work email addresses that approve payments or account changes, and protect those.

Accounts payableVendor invoices and any email that changes where a payment goes.
Treasury and tax collectionWire instructions, refunds, and transfers out.
Payroll and human resourcesDirect-deposit changes requested by email.
Procurement and contractsBid correspondence, award notices, and revised terms.
Legal and the clerk's officeSettlement instructions and filings that must be provable later.
Capital projectsProgress payments and change orders from contractors.

How it works

Three steps, and no change to your mail system

1. Save the email

The approver saves the original email out of Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird. Nothing is installed to do this.

2. Upload it to the Live check

They open the Live check in a browser and upload that file. No account and no login.

3. Read the answer, then act

Signet7 says whether the wording still matches what was signed, and whether the sender's address is on record. The approver keeps the signed result as proof.

Signet7 does not sit in your mail flow. It is not a mail gateway, it does not replace Microsoft 365 or Google Workspace, and it does not filter, hold, or rewrite messages. Nothing breaks if Signet7 is unavailable — the email still arrives exactly as it does today. See the walkthrough.

For your IT and security reviewer

The questions a public agency always asks

QuestionAnswer today
Do you keep a copy of our email? Not on the free check. The uploaded email is fingerprinted in memory and the upload is deleted after the check.
Do you need access to our mailboxes?Only if you choose to run the desktop app. It reads incoming email on the specific addresses you name, on one office computer you control.
Does this change our mail routing or DNS?No mail routing changes are required to verify email. Signing your outgoing email is optional and stays inside your own mail application.
Do you hold SOC 2, ISO 27001, FedRAMP, or StateRAMP?No. None today, and we will not imply otherwise. See Status.
Is the software code-signed?Not yet. The desktop app is an unsigned preview and your endpoint protection will warn on it.
Is it Section 508 and WCAG accessible? This site targets WCAG 2.1 level AA. No VPAT is published yet. Ask us for the current position in writing.
Who are your subprocessors?Listed on Data providers, with what each one does.
How do we get our data deleted?Email a deletion request. The process is written on the Trust Center.

The full write-up your reviewer will want is the Trust Center. What a result does and does not mean is on Reading a result.

Being straight with you

What Signet7 does not do

It does not say an email is safe

A clean result means the wording is unchanged and the sender's address is on record. It is not approval to pay. Your call-back and approval rules still apply.

It does not replace your filter

Spam and malware filtering, multi-factor sign-in, and separation of duties all stay exactly where they are. Signet7 is the last look before an irreversible step.

It does not cover every channel

Telephone calls, text messages, portal messages, and printed paper are outside what Signet7 can check. It works on email.

How to buy

Start free, then put it in writing

Start now, at no cost

Verifying email is free and needs no purchase order, no account, and no approval. Ask one approver to try it on the next payment-change email that arrives.

Run a bounded evaluation

A fixed-length evaluation on one workflow, with named people, agreed measures, and a defined stopping point. The boundaries are written on the evaluation page.

Get it on paper

Pricing is not published yet, so we will not quote a number on a web page. Write to sales@signet7.io and we will put terms and figures in writing for your agency.

Terms of service and the privacy policy are still marked draft until counsel signs them, which matters if your agency contracts against published terms. That, and everything else not finished, is listed on Status.
