Keep the original message. Open the live check. Read what Signet7 can prove. You do not check junk. You check the email that asks you to move money or change an account.

What does words match mean?

The protected words still match the seal. Signet7 does not approve payment, scan for viruses, or name the person at the keyboard.

What does no seal mean?

Ordinary mail. Checking does not stamp a new seal. Unknown or unsealed is not an attack by itself.

Do I write email inside Signet7?

No. Write in Outlook, Apple Mail, or Thunderbird. Same on Windows, Mac, and Linux. If you opt in, Signet7 can cryptographically seal the message you already wrote. See the living scenarios.

What does Signet7 desktop do?

Signet7 desktop sits on the named company inboxes you connect — typically AP, payroll, legal. Not the desktop app on every staff laptop. Ordinary mail stays quiet. It shouts if a seal is torn, a named vendor arrives unsealed, or a listing doesn’t match this address. Signet7 desktop does not send. Optional sealing of outgoing mail is the other job in that same window. Recipients never install it. Anyone still uses the live check on any device.

Why do I have to go to a website for every check?

The website is the no-install door. If that is all you use, each important email is a trip to that page. After a company account, pin the Outlook pane so changing mail re-checks. Signet7 desktop does that trip for named company inboxes. Recipients still never install.

What are the three jobs?

The site checks a message. Signet7 desktop watches incoming on the named company inboxes you connect. Seal cryptographically stamps outgoing mail. Incoming checks and seal both live in Signet7 desktop. Account is not the desktop app. Sideload is not the desktop app. Recipients never install.

Account, Signet7 desktop, watched inbox

A company account is a Signet7 login. Signet7 desktop is the software on a PC. It is not a second install. A watched inbox is a named mailbox that desktop sits on. Large companies connect several named inboxes. That is not the desktop app on every laptop.

How do I put Signet7 on a company computer?

One-file wizard in the company zip, on that computer. Windows, Mac, and Linux. Recipients never run it. Company computers use the desktop zip, not pip. The app has Check for update. Unsigned Preview.

Where are the seven-year records?

There is no seven-year default. A public check does not keep the letter. You can download a receipt for your files. Optional: Signet7 desktop can keep money and account mail in an encrypted vault on that company computer. You hold the recovery key. Signet7 cannot read those letters. If Signet7 records a ledger row, that is content-minimized evidence (hashes, keys, status), not the readable email, in operator storage with human-approved WORM retention. US tax and audit rules sometimes talk about years of records — they do not make Signet7 a 7-year archive by itself.

Do US or EU rules make Signet7 a seven-year archive?

No. Some US tax and audit rules talk about keeping records for years. Some EU rules ask covered firms for logs and incident records. EU privacy law limits how long personal data is kept. Those rules create demand for records you can produce. They do not require Signet7, certify Signet7, or set a seven-year default here. A public check does not keep the letter. Object Lock days exist only after a human retention schedule. Counsel still decides what you must keep.

Who can read a check?

Only you see this check in your browser. Signet7 does not keep the letter for others to look up. A short status link, if one exists, is not the letter. Signet7 desktop status needs a company login. Staff tools are a different door.

What does the other company get?

If you are using Signet7, they do not install Signet7 desktop unless they want to. They get the free live check on any device, and a Signet7 invite so they can look you up — only between you and them — until they register themselves. If they also run Signet7, listing and the stamp happen when you send. That is the two-way link. A company can bind more than one work email. Each of those emails can have its own key.

Should Signet7 store sealed files?
